How Many Pizzas Are On Venus?
A Book of Poems
By Scot MacKinnon
In this book are my 100 poems:
Two that should not be read by anyone, one very personal one,
one that I did with my son, and the rest are just for fun.
I hope after you read them all, you enjoyed at least one.
'Cause as you might have guessed, there is no refund.
I started out trying to write one song;
I was told since I don't understand rhythm or timing,
but that my words have a way of rhyming.
My words will never be songs, just plain old poems;
'Cause words without music is just poetry.
I was also told by many, that I should give up this writing hobby,
And my reply was, "I have heard the words of Drake, Eminem,
The Lonely Island Boys and even Julio Iglesias,
and they have no words better than me."
All they have is a way with harmony, and way too many girly genes.
But I sure wish I had some of their money.
"Yo Yo, I am on a Boat", what a joke,
you made hip hop a laughing disease.
The first one that should not be read was a request from someone.
She asked for a nasty, dirty
Sugar Daddy poem - but to make sure it's not too long.
And the second poem that should not be read by anyone
is the best song ever written,
and those who have heard me sing it will agree.
Maybe if you contact me, I will send you a copy for a fee.
